CIPC remains available to the industry for the 2018-19 season and stewardship is essential to comply with label requirements and minimise the risk of any MRL exceedances.
As part of the industry's stewardship initiative, the AHDB has implemented a programme of research and KE activities that continue to develop best practice for integrated sprout control. These include:
trials on CIPC alongside and in combination with alternatives for both fresh and processing markets.
maleic hydrazide trials and review.
variety dormancy assessments.
CIPC residue management in previously treated stores.
